Nathan Peterman Delivers Forgettable Week 1 Performance
6 years agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman became the 11th different signal caller to start in Week 1 for the Bills since Jim Kelly’s final season. Unfortunately, the prestige of functioning as the team’s starter may be short-lived, after a performance that can charitably be labeled as forgettable. Peterman completed just five passes for 24 yards, before being replaced by Josh Allen with 11:22 remaining in the third quarter. He also tossed two interceptions, and finished the contest with a passer rating of exactly 0.0, as his ineffectiveness, and the general deficiencies of Buffalo’s offense combined with inclement weather and a relentless Raven defense to create a highly uncomfortable experience for Peterman and the Bills’ attack. While Buffalo’s Week 2 starter has yet to be determined, Peterman hardly inspired confidence that he should operate in that role.
