7 years agoUpdating a previous report, Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen (foot) was on crutches and in a boot on his right foot after being ruled out in Week 1 against the Cowboys. It's the same foot that he had surgery on in 2017. It's a terrible sign and likely means that Olsen is facing an extended absence. His foot injury held him to only seven games last year. If you own Olsen, start preparing for the worst. Chris Manhertz and rookie Ian Thomas will take over with Olsen expected to miss time. However, they won't be reliable fantasy options. Running back Christian McCaffrey should see more checkdown passes moving forward, and Devin Funchess, Torrey Smith and rookie DJ Moore will likely see more targets.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
