Carlos Hyde Scores In Browns Debut
6 years agoCleveland Browns running back Carlos Hyde carried the ball 22 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in his team's 21-21 tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1. Hyde also added one catch for three yards in the game. The veteran running back struggled to find much room to run against Pittsburgh but he was able to salvage his day with a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. As was the case in the preseason, Hyde operated as the team's clear starter in the backfield, losing just three carries to rookie Nick Chubb. Hyde won't catch anywhere near the number of passes he did with the San Francisco 49ers in 2017 but he should settle in as a low-end RB2 option in standard leagues this season. A road date with the New Orleans Saints awaits Hyde in Week 2.
