LeSean McCoy Rushes For Just 22 Yards
6 years agoBuffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy was expected to commandeer a massive workload in Week 1, as he is the centerpiece of Buffalo’s offense, and weather conditions appeared to favor an extensive commitment to the ground game. But 33 running backs and four quarterbacks all carried the ball with greater frequency, as his seven attempts only resulted in 22 rushing yards (3.1 YPC). He also lost one yard while collecting his only reception, as Nathan Peterman’s struggles and the game script that resulted from a huge point differential negatively impacted McCoy’s touch total. Buffalo’s offensive unit is rampant with inadequacies that could impede him from delivering high quality production throughout the season.
