6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Rick Porcello allowed four runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings of work in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Houston Astros. He struck out six batters while walking one in the no-decision. Porcello has been wildly inconsistent this season, vastly fluctuating from one start to the next. In his past eight starts, he has three games where he allowed just a single run. In the other five starts, he has allowed a combined 23 runs. The 29-year-old has a strong 16-7 record on the season, but that is mainly because the Red Sox offense is talented enough to bail him out when he struggles. He has a decent matchup against the New York Mets on Saturday, but who knows what version of Porcello will be on the mound.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
