7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco (shoulder, neck) left the game early on Tuesday after falling over the railing while trying to make a catch in foul territory. He is dealing with a shoulder contusion and neck tightness and could easily be held out a few days as a result. It's a shame, as Franco had just returned from a separate issue. Franco had two singles and an RBI in four plate appearances before leaving, and he's now batting .268 with 22 home runs, 47 runs scored and 67 RBI on the season. Asdrubal Cabrera is likely to shift over to the hot corner if Franco needs to miss any more time.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
