Christin Stewart Showing Plate Discipline
6 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder and No. 6 prospect Christin Stewart was called up on Sunday and made his first start on Tuesday, notching his first career hit at the MLB level off former Tiger Justin Verlander. On Wednesday, Stewart was back in the starting lineup again and continued to show why he's so highly touted. Stewart had another single Wednesday, and also added two walks on the day to show some solid plate discipline for a player who is just 24 and in his first big league stint. Manager Ron Gardenhire told reporters that Stewart will be in left field just about every day for the remainder of the season, so fantasy owners should pay attention now and start thinking about Stewart for future seasons.
