Josh Allen Officially Named As Buffalo's Week 2 Starter
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen has officially been named as the team’s Week 2 starter by head coach Sean McDermott. The phrase "It's the right move," was repeated multiple times by McDermott when he confirmed earlier reports regarding Allen’s ascension into the starting role. Allen accrued 74 yards on six completions in Week 1, after replacing Nathan Peterman in the third quarter of the Bills' loss in Baltimore. Allen will face a Los Angeles Charger defense that surrendered four touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Week 1, but the shortcomings of Allen’s offensive line and receiving weaponry will make it difficult for him to match that output.
