BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 34% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Royals infielder Adalberto Mondesi has a hit in each of the last four games and in seven of the last eight games. Known mostly for his speed, Mondesi is hitting .286 this season, posting a .333 batting average in September. He has five stolen bases this month, 18 in the second half, and is slashing .304/.338/.486 in the second half.
Touting 2B/SS eligibility, Mondesi was on fire in July and early August, cooled off as August closed, and is once again a great option. Posting an RBI in four consecutive games, and a stolen base in three of the last four games, Mondesi has proven that he has sticking power in all formats. A 20.4% soft hit ball rate in the second half is not great, but he also sports a 39.8% hard hit ball rate and 21.1% line drive rate since the All-Star break.
Fantasy owners with the need for speed should have already had Mondesi on their radar and now is the time to add him for the last weeks of the season. He should be owned in all formats, particularly if you need speed or average.
