6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman (knee) will not play on Sunday in Week 2 against the Panthers, according to head coach Dan Quinn. The Falcons are hoping this isn't a long-term injury, but nothing structurally wrong was found in Freeman's knee. You can officially bench Freeman this week, and there's no guarantee he'll play in Week 3 yet. Hopefully Freeman owners also have Tevin Coleman on hand. He'll step in and take the lion's share of the backfield work. Plug him in as an RB2 this weekend against Carolina.
