6 years agoChicago Cubs closer Brandon Morrow (biceps) will throw a simulated game on Saturday. He's hoping to return to games by the end of next week. The Cubs could really use Morrow back now with Pedro Strop (hamstring) out for the rest of the regular season. Morrow could become an option for saves in the final week of the season if he's healthy, but it might be a long shot since he's been out since before the All-Star break. Chicago is expected to use a committee approach with Jesse Chavez, Steve Cishek, Carl Edwards Jr. and Justin Wilson at least until Morrow is back.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
