6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Sean Newcomb allowed five runs on six hits across three innings of work in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Washington Nationals. Newcomb has been an incredibly mixed bag lately. In his past eight starts, he has three outings where he has allowed one run or less. In the other five starts, he has allowed a combined 26 runs. Newcomb is a highly risky fantasy play at this point due to his inconsistency. He has a 12-9 record on the season to go along with a 4.04 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 151/76 K/BB ratio.
