6 years agoThe Cleveland Browns are counting on rookie Antonio Callaway to step up as the X receiver after the team traded Josh Gordon to the Patriots this week. He showcased his ability in Week 2 with a 47-yard touchdown catch against the Saints. “He is making strides,” head coach Hue Jackson said Tuesday as the Browns (0-0-1) prepared for their Thursday night home game against the New York Jets (1-1). “Obviously, the catch to tie the game is a confidence booster for any young player. I think that he was always coming on. We were not trying to push him too fast, not give him too much too fast. Now, he has to take it all. It’s time.” Callaway played 50 of 62 snaps (82 percent) last week and caught three passes on four targets for 81 yards and the score. The fourth-round pick sees his fantasy value rise significantly as the No. 2 receiver behind Jarvis Landry. He needs to be owned everywhere now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
