6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty struck out six batters over 4 2/3 innings against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night. Flaherty allowed five runs on five hits and two walks to earn his eighth loss of the year in his shortest outing since the beginning of June. Wednesday's outing marked the 13th consecutive start for Flaherty with at least five strikeouts, as he has averaged just over seven strikeouts per start in that span. This is nothing more than a blip on the radar for Flaherty facing a tough Atlanta offense, and going forward for the rest of this season and into 2019, Flaherty should be considered one of the top young pitchers in fantasy.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
