6 years agoNew York Mets infielder Wilmer Flores (knees) will be shut down for the rest of the year after being diagnosed with early-onset arthritis in both of his knees. Manager Mickey Callaway is unsure what this will mean for Flores' future. It can't be a good sign for the 27-year-old. Flores was a part-time player for New York this year, hitting .267/.319/.417 with 11 home runs and 51 RBI in 386 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
