6 years agoTennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that quarterback Marcus Mariota (elbow) was better on Thursday and took most of the practice repetitions over Blaine Gabbert. Mariota was active in Week 2 but didn't play at all. He's dealing with a nerve issue in his elbow that has caused numbness in his hand and fingers, which has affected his ability to grip the football and make certain throws. It looks as though he's improving enough to be the starter this Sunday. However, the Titans have a bad matchup against the Jags strong defense, so Mariota shouldn't be looked at as anything more than a low-end QB2 if he plays.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
