Tyler Boyd Steps Up In Week 3
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd had another solid performance despite his team falling to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. Boyd stepped up after wide receiver A.J. Green prematurely exited with a groin injury, accumulating 132 yards and a score on only six receptions. Despite the expectation that wide receiver John Ross would be the second option in the team's passing attack, it has been Boyd who has served as the sufficient alternative, catching 12 passes for 223 yards and two scores over the past two weeks. Whether he will maintain this level of involvement moving forward is yet to be seen, but he will have plenty of opportunities moving ahead, especially if Green and running back Joe Mixon (Knee) are unable to suit up next Sunday in Atlanta.
