John Ross Irrelevant Again
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross was a non-factor yet again in the Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Despite the absence of running back Joe Mixon (knee) and the premature exit of wide receiver A.J. Green (groin), Ross only caught three of his seven targets, racking up a meaningless 16 yards. Though he caught a touchdown in Week 1 against the Colts, Ross has been irrelevant in the team's passing attack this season. With the statuses of both Green and Mixon up in the air for the upcoming Week 4 encounter with the Falcons, wide receiver Tyler Boyd, tight end Tyler Eifert, and running back Giovani Bernard will be the likely offensive options for quarterback Andy Dalton.
