6 years agoMinnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen has been dealing with a serious health-related issue for weeks, according to sources. Both the team and his agents are helping him. The Vikings are concerned about the well-being of Griffen after he reportedly threatened to shoot someone at a hotel on Saturday. "We are aware of the situation involving Everson Griffen and certainly concerned by what we have heard. We are currently focused on Everson's well-being and providing the appropriate support for him and his family," general manager Rick Spielman said. Griffen was inactive in Week 3 with a knee injury, but he might not be allowed to play this Thursday if he's healthy enough after this incident. Stay tuned for more news on Griffen, but he might be facing some league discipline. He's one of the better pass rushers in the league, too, so losing him for any amount of time will be a blow to Minnesota's defensive line.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
