6 years agoWashington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo expects manager Dave Martinez and his entire coaching staff to return for the 2019 season after the team went 82-80 and missed the playoffs. “We think he’s got a firm grasp on the clubhouse and he’s doing a good job in the dugout. We think he’s getting better each and every day, each and every game,” Rizzo said. “I really like the way the team has responded to him, and I think they’re playing extremely hard for him.” Martinez was signed to a three-year deal with a fourth-year option last year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
