BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 7% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Washington Redskins wide receiver Paul Richardson has only been targeted 14 times through his three games this season, but has caught nine of those passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Richardson's big play potential has been on display in each of the last two games, grabbing a 34 yard pass in Week 2 and a 46 yard pass in Week 3.
His Week 5 matchup against the Saints is also one to take advantage of, as we saw the Saints get burnt by a secondary option in Sterling Shepard (10 catches on 10 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown) last week. This means that Josh Doctson will like see more attention from the Saints (namely that of Marshon Lattimore), leaving room for Richardson to make an impact. There are worries about Richardson's shoulder leading into the Monday night matchup with New Orleans, but this is a player that averaged 16 yards per catch last season in Seattle and could burn a suspect Saints secondary.
After a bye in Week 4, a lot of people may have forgotten about the Redskins and, other than stable options like Alex Smith and Chris Thompson, players like Richardson may also be available. His big play potential makes him a decent option in deeper leagues, especially considering the potential for touchdowns.
