6 years agoAtlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker announced Tuesday that starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz will start Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Dodgers on Thursday. Folty has been the team's best and most consistent starter all year, going 13-10 with a 2.85 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and career-high 9.9 K/9 over 31 starts. He has truly broke out this year after never having an ERA under 4.00 in his previous four seasons. However, he didn't fare that well against the Dodgers when he faced them this year, allowing four earned runs on six hits in just five innings on July 27, although he did strike out eight hitters.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
