6 years agoDespite leading all San Francisco 49ers receivers in snaps, Pierre Garcon has been unable to capitalize. The veteran pass catcher enters Week 5 with zero touchdowns and just 141 receiving yards on 11 catches. The 49ers receiving unit is currently decimated by injuries, with Dante Pettis (knee) ruled out and Marquise Goodwin (hamstring) limited but don’t expect a major increase in Garcon’s opportunities. Garcon’s week-to-week role is solidified and while he could draw more looks, quarterback C.J. Beathard has preferred spreading the wealth or relying on tight end George Kittle.
