James Conner Looks To Shake Off Recent Cold Streak
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has seen his production dip each game since his impressive Week 1 performance against the Cleveland Browns. The second-year runner has averaged just 3.68 yards-per-carry this season, with a YPC of 2.12 yards or lower in two of his four contests. Conner has retained some fantasy value due to his production in the passing game but it would be better to treat him as an RB2 instead of the RB1 it appeared he would be after Week 1. Conner does find himself in a plus matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, which gives hope to his fantasy owners. Atlanta's run defense ranks just 30th in the league in DVOA and this game is widely expected to be one of the highest-scoring contests this weekend. Treat Conner as a solid RB2 in fantasy.
