6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Porcello threw a bullpen session before Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Yankees on Friday and entered the game in relief in the eighth inning, so he likely will be unavailable to pitch in Game 3 of the series. That means the Red Sox might have to move up expected Game 4 starter, Nathan Eovaldi, to Game 3 in New York. Porcello had 17 wins this year but was up and down with a 4.28 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 190 strikeouts in 191 1/3 innings in 2018. The home run ball has been the issue for him, as he allowed a league-high 38 in 33 starts last year and 27 in 33 starts this year. Porcello could go in a potential Game 4 (if necessary). He actually had success against New York in four starts against them this year with a 2.31 ERA, but he'd be a risky DFS pick in the Bronx.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
