6 years agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said he will not start Chris Sale on short rest in Game 4 of the American League Division Series against the Yankees if they are facing elimination. Starter David Price, who wasn't long for his outing in Game 2 Saturday, said he's available to pitch in Game 3 on Monday, but the team would prefer to wait at least another day. Sale dealt with shoulder problems down the stretch, so it wouldn't make sense to rush him back. Instead, he'll be available in case the series goes to a deciding Game 5 back in Boston. The talented left-hander struck out eight while giving up five hits and two runs in 5 1/3 innings in the win in Game 1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
