ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement was dealing with a quadriceps injury leading into Sunday's game, leading to him getting no playing time against the Vikings, but has a much better outlook for the remainder of the 2018 season. With Jay Ajayi out for the season with a torn ACL and Darren Sproles questionable with a hamstring injury, Clement and Wendell Smallwood are the backs to own in Philly.
So far this season, Clement is averaging 4.1 yards per carry on his 27 carries and 9.3 yards per catch on his eight catches. He had 16 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown against the Colts on September 23 and had five catches for 55 yards against the Buccaneers on September 16. Clement did fumble twice against the Colts, but has yet to lose a fumble in his 119 career touches.
Clement was a full participant in Monday's practice, so he is likely good to go against the Giants on Thursday night. Considering that New York is 26th against fantasy RB, Clement is in a great position to make an impact. Even if Clement and Smallwood split the duties this week, and Sproles takes work in the future, Clement is a good addition in most leagues.
