6 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith completed 23 of 39 passes for 275 yards in Monday night's contest against the Saints. He also fumbled once and threw one interception. Smith's fantasy day was salvaged by a short rushing touchdown late in the first half, but even that was just barely enough to get him into double digit points. Interestingly enough, Smith's two worst fantasy outings this season have come in the two games in which the Redskins were in catch-up mode and thus had to air it out. While some quarterbacks thrive in these situations, this early trend suggests that Smith may actually be a better fantasy option in weeks when he is not asked to throw a ton.--Chris O'Reilly
