6 years agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Casey DeSmith allowed three goals on 39 shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss on the road against the Montreal Canadiens. He was making another start with Matt Murray still in the concussion protocol, and DeSmith did a pretty good job filling in and giving his team a chance to win. He hasn't lost in regulation in a pair of starts, and it's uncertain when Murray will clear the hurdles and be able to return to the crease. Until then it appears DeSmith is more than capable of handling the goaltending chores.--Daniel Dobish
