6 years agoTampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov finally opened his account for the season on Saturday, finishing an 8-2 win over Columbus with a goal and an assist. He scored the team's seventh goal and assisted on the first one. Head coach Jon Cooper reunited "The Triplets" line that features Ondrej Palat and Tyler Johnson alongside Kucherov and it was an instant success. Victor Hedman opened the scoring 1:00 into the game with Kucherov and Johnson both recording assists on the goal. The line was one of the best in the NHL a few seasons ago, but Cooper has elected to keep the three apart in recent years to spread out the scoring.
