6 years agoOakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said he is standing by quarterback Derek Carr despite his struggles this year. "He is the strength of this football team. He is on my watch. I said it when I got here, if he doesn't play well, I've failed," Gruden said. Carr has improved his completion percentage (71.7 percent), but he's often gun-shy about taking deep shots and has seven touchdowns and eight interceptions through six games going into the Week 7 bye. It doesn't help that his receivers are mediocre, at best. Carr will remain a low-end QB2 when he returns to action in Week 8 against the Colts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
