Leonard Fournette, James O'Shaughnessy Sitting Out Thursday
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and tight end James O'Shaughnessy (hip) are not expected to practice on Thursday. Fournette looks likely to miss another game and could be held out through the team's Week 9 bye. He's been a huge fantasy bust so far. O'Shaughnessy appears to have suffered an injury in practice on Wednesday, putting his status in doubt for Week 7 against the Texans. With Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Niles Paul both hurt, the Jags would be down to David Grinnage and Blake Bell if O'Shaughnessy can't play.

James O'Shaughnessy Visits With Bears
3 years agoFree-agent tight end James O'Shaughnessy did a visit with the Chicago Bears on Monday. The 30-year-old has spent each of the last five seasons with Jacksonville. He posted 24 receptions, 244 receiving yards in seven games (six starts) with the Jaguars last season. O'Shaughnessy was asked to move into a starting role for six games last year due to injuries. He doesn't exactly bring much to the table, but could be a decent backup and solid blocker behind Cole Kmet in Chicago. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from O'Shaughnessy wherever he lands.

James O'Shaughnessy Ruled Out
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end James O'Shaughnessy (hip) was unable to practice all week and has been ruled out for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Indianapolis Colts. O'Shaughnessy will close out his season by missing the final two games. The 29-year-old will end with 24 receptions on 34 targets for 244 yards and no touchdowns in seven games. It's hard to say who will play the most on Sunday against the Colts among Jacob Hollister, Chris Manhertz and Luke Farrell at the position for the Jaguars, but fantasy managers should be avoiding the situation altogether. The Colts have been a good matchup for opposing TEs this year, but Jacksonville's tight end committee isn't attractive whatsoever.

James O'Shaughnessy On Track To Miss Another Game
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end James O'Shaughnessy (hip) missed a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. After sitting out the Week 17 blowout loss to the New England Patriots, O'Shaughnessy looks primed to finish out the season on the sidelines in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Indianapolis Colts. The good news is that the Jags have gotten tight ends Jacob Hollister and Chris Manhertz back from the COVID-19 list for this weekend's game, so they'll have a little more help at the position if O'Shaughnessy sits out again. If O'Shaughnessy is out, the best bet is that Hollister and Luke Farrell split most of the playing time at the position against the Colts. Fantasy managers should ignore the TE position in Jacksonville.

James O'Shaughnessy Still Not Practicing
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end James O'Shaughnessy (hip) missed another practice on Wednesday after sitting out of the Week 17 blowout loss to the New England Patriots. It's not a good start for O'Shaughnessy this week, and he'll need to get back on the field in the next two days in order to have a shot at playing in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Indianapolis Colts, where the Jags will merely be looking to play spoiler. In his absence last week, Luke Farrell caught one of two targets for seven yards. The Jaguars have gotten Chris Manhertz and Jacob Hollister back from the COVID-19 list, so they'll at least have more options at the position this Sunday if O'Shaughnessy misses another game. Fantasy gamers would be wise to avoid the TE position in Jacksonville in both DFS and season-long formats to close out the regular season.
