6 years agoNew Jersey Devils center Nico Hischier registered his first goal of the season on Thursday, opening the scoring on a power play in an eventual 5-3 loss to Colorado. He also picked up an assist later in the game, so it was a good night for him personally. Especially after failing to get anything on the board in the previous two outings. Hischier has four points in five games for the season now, as well as 16 shots on goal. He's looking to avoid a sophomore slump and the early signs are positive. Taylor Hall and Brian Boyle also scored for the Devils on Thursday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
