6 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer allowed just one goal on 43 shots in Saturday's 3-1 road victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. He picked up his second win in three starts with the Avalanche. "Without the way he played we wouldn't have won this hockey game," Gabriel Landeskog said. "He was outstanding. Honestly, it was one of the better goalie performances I've seen in a long time." Grubauer will continue to work as the backup to Semyon Varlamov, perhaps in something like a 60-40 split. They're both outstanding NHL-caliber netminders worthy of a fantasy roster spot.--Daniel Dobish
