Braden Holtby Gets All The Support He Needs
6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby allowed two goals on 24 shots in Monday's 5-2 victory on the road against the Vancouver Canucks. Holtby was helped out by Alex Ovechkin, who continues to be on fire when on the man advantage. Ovie had two goals and four points to give his netminder all the offensive support he needed. Holtby allowed an unassisted goal to Troy Stecher and a power-play marker to Sven Baertschi, but slammed the door shut after that. The road trip continues Thursday night with a much bigger test against the Edmonton Oilers.
