BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 23% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams scored a touchdown against the Rams on Sunday and appears to be the 2nd choice at running back in Green Bay. Aaron Jones had 12 carries for 86 yards and a score against Los Angeles, but that is not to say that Williams will have no role in the offense. Williams has been the goal line option for the Pack and is the better choice on passing downs as well.
Prior to the Week 7 bye, it appeared that Williams, Jones, and Ty Montgomery each had a similar role in the Packers offense and this could be the case in the future. Williams' ownership rate may be down a bit because of a lack of usage this past week (four carries and 13 snaps), but the Packers do not seem to have a firm delegation of the roles in their backfield. With Ty Montgomery gone to the Ravens, it looks like Williams will get even more touches in Green Bay.
The Patriots are 17th against RB and Williams could be a pick to score a touchdown against New England. It is tough to chase touchdowns, but it is also good to pickup those that are in the best situations to score. That alone makes Williams a good pickup in deeper leagues.
