6 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers picked up relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress' $3.175 million option for the 2019 season, according to a source. Jeffress was an All-Star in 2018, going 8-1 with a 1.29 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 10.4 K/9 and 15 saves as a huge piece of a dominating Brewers bullpen this year. It was a huge turnaround from his 2017 season when he posted a 4.68 ERA for the Brewers and Rangers. Jeffress is can be volatile and he imploded in the postseason, but he will return and be a key piece of Milwaukee's bullpen again in 2019. While the Brewers have several options to close next year, Jeffress should at least see some save chances.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
