6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson was held in check by the Falcons on Sunday, rushing nine times for 17 yards. It was an all-too-familiar picture for his fantasy owners, as the Redskins found themselves facing a sizable deficit early and could not rely on Peterson to set the tone. In any case, Peterson's fantasy potential at this point in the season is pretty cut-and-dry: he's going to be a workhorse running back when the Redskins have a lead, and he'll be a non-factor when they fall behind early. The former figures to be the case more often than not, as the 38 points allowed by Washington's defense on Sunday are an outlier.--Chris O'Reilly
