Ty Montgomery Hopes To Ignite Ravens Running Game
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Ty Montgomery hopes that he is able to ignite the Ravens running game when he makes his debut against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. Montgomery was deactivated for last week's loss to the Steelers, as he was acquired at the trade deadline mid-week. The 25-year-old back is an explosive runner who is an excellent pass-catcher and run-blocker. Baltimore's running attack has struggled this entire season, ranking 27th in yards per game as well as 31st in yards per attempt. While Montgomery's exact role is currently unknown, he could see time at running back and/or receiver along with kick returner. Montgomery, who averages nearly five rushing yards per attempt for his career, is a possible flex option in Week 11, depending on how the Ravens ultimately decide to use him.
