6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes right wing Andrei Svechnikov had two assists, one on the power play, during a 3-2 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night. The coaching staff played him alongside Sebastian Aho in overtime and the two connected on the winning goal. Svechnikov has had an inconsistent start to his rookie season but shows flashes of his tantalizing potential on a nightly basis. The 18-year-old has four goals and four assists through the first 18 games of his career. He plays on the third line and top power-play unit and should continue to improve as the season progresses. Right now, he only has value in deeper leagues but should be added everywhere if he moves up the lineup.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
