Lamar Jackson May Get First Career Start
6 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens still have not announced who their starting quarterback is for their Week 11's matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, but there is a strong possibility it will be rookie Lamar Jackson as Joe Flacco (hip) is listed as doubtful for the game as he has not practiced all week. Jackson missed Thursday's practice himself due to illness, although he does not have an injury designation heading into the game. The former Louisville star has seen a decent amount of work the last two weeks behind center, however, mainly as a runner. But he did complete four of five passes for 46 yards and a touchdown in mop-up duty against Carolina in Week 8. If Flacco doesn't play, there is a chance that Jackson and Robert Griffin III split time with the veteran getting most of the passing plays. Whoever is under center, they could have a heyday against a Bengals' defense that is allowing 43.3 points and 545 total yards with 356 of those yards coming through the air over the last three contests. Unless there is news on how Jackson is going to be used against the Bengals, it is best that fantasy owners ignore him this week.
