Adrian Peterson Scores Two Touchdowns Against Texans
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson found himself with a fantasy-relevant workload on Sunday despite the team facing a deficit early on. It was a rare instance for Peterson, as we've seen the Redskins bid farewell to the rushing attack in games like this earlier in the season. He converted his 16 carries into a pedestrian 51 yards, but salvaged the day with two touchdowns. With quarterback Alex Smith suffering a season-ending injury, it stands to reason that Peterson will see even more work going forward, perhaps even regardless of game script. He is the Redskins' most reliable offensive player, and the team will need to lean on him more than ever to account for the loss of their starting signal-caller.
