6 years agoThe Washington Redskins defense took something of a back seat in Sunday's loss to Houston, as it was the Texans who returned an Alex Smith interception the length of the field for a touchdown. The Redskins, to their credit, forced three turnovers, sacked Deshaun Watson three times, and held an opposing offense to 17 or fewer points for the seventh time this season. This defensive unit will now need to rally together in the wake of a season-ending injury to quarterback Alex Smith, as things don't figure to get any easier on the road to a potential NFC East crown. Their next test comes on Thursday against the Cowboys.--Chris O'Reilly
