Bruce Ellington Steps Up Against Carolina
6 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Bruce Ellington had a solid first game with his new team, catching six of nine targets for 52 yards. Ellington took on Golden Tate's old role in the Detroit offense. Obviously, he directly benefited from Marvin Jones' (knee) absence but it should be interesting to see what happens on the short week, as Detroit hosts Chicago on Thursday. If Jones is forced to miss a second consecutive game, Ellington should assume a similar role. However, the Bears present quite a challenge and the Lions have been very inconsistent this season. Pay attention to the injury reports as to whether Ellington has any value in Week 12.
