ANALYSIS: New York Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa may only have 29 receptions for 345 yards this season, but positive trends could lead to a good close to the season. With Robby Anderson out of the lineup, Enunwa was targeted eight times against the Bills before the bye and caught three of four targets against Miami in the previous week. While Enunwa has only caught 29 of 54 targets this season, catching 8 of his last 13 targets could be a good sign for the remainder of the season.
Robby Anderson, dealing with an ankle injury, has flashed the ability to be the WR1 for the Jets, but, via injury and inconsistency, it now appears that Enunwa and Jermaine Kearse are the top guys for the Gang Green. Another change is that quarterback Sam Darnold is dealing with a foot injury, which could keep 2017 quarterback Josh McCown as the QB for the Jets. Last season, Enunwa caught 58 of 106 targets for 857 yards with McCown as the primary QB.
Matchups against the Patriots, Bills, and Texans are not ideal, but the Packers (23rd against WR) and Titans (29th) are both on the schedule for the Jets as well. McCown and the offense was off against the Bills before the bye, but a break may help. Look at Enunwa as bench depth in deeper leagues.
