6 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Alex Lyon will be in net on Wednesday night against the Buffalo Sabres. Lyon has been given an opportunity with Brian Elliott (lower body) and Michal Neuvirth (lower body) both out of commission. Lyon was 4-2-1 with a 2.75 goals-against average and .905 save percentage in 11 appearances last season. The 26-year-old has short-term value while the other two goaltenders remain shelved, but Lyon is not a must-add fantasy commodity. He is taking on a Sabres team that has won six straight games and scored 21 goals in the process (3.5 goals per game). Avoid Lyon for Wednesday's slate, although he may be an option on Friday against the New York Rangers.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
