6 years agoDetroit Red Wings forward Andreas Athanasiou scored twice in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win against Boston. He tied the game in the third period and netted the game-winner with only 49 seconds played in the extra frame. Athanasiou has been on fire since returning from a leg injury on Nov. 9, putting up eight points in six games. His Wednesday's performance was his fourth multi-point effort of the month. Athanasiou leads the Wings with nine goals and he has 14 points through 17 games in what looks like an outbreak year for him.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
