Gus Edwards Tops 100 Yards Rushing Against Raiders
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards set a new career high with 118 rushing yards on 21 carries in Sunday's 34-17 victory over the Raiders. It was the rookie's second consecutive game topping the 100-yard mark, becoming the first Ravens' player since Justin Forsett accomplished the feat in 2015. The 23-year-old has racked up 233 yards on the ground on 40 attempts over the last two weeks. While the Rutgers product has to be the Ravens' No.1 back going forward, his fantasy value has to be tempered a little if Alex Collins (foot) is back next week and Lamar Jackson still running the ball a lot, particularly in the end zone. Consider Edwards an RB2 with upside against a Falcons defense that is allowing 5.1 yards per carry at this point.
