BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team PPR Leagues
OWNED IN: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne is trending upwards right now and is worth a lottery ticket add in deeper PPR leagues.
Bourne has been targeted 21 times over the past four games, and he was on the field for 88 percent of the team's offensive snaps on Sunday against Tampa Bay. There's probably not a very high ceiling for Bourne as long as Nick Mullens is taking snaps at quarterback -- and a change back to C.J. Beathard wouldn't change that either -- but opportunity is the key, and with the 49ers already far from any semblance of contention, Bourne should continue to get chances to show that he should be in the team's future plans.
The 49ers wide receiving group could be without Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin again, as both players are listed as questionable heading into Week 13. This leaves rookie Dante Pettis and Bourne atop the depth chart for a meeting with a Seahawks defense that ranks in the middle of the road at limiting fantasy points from opposing wide receivers. Bourne's versatility should come in handy as well if one of those two players returns, as he's been able to play at all the different receiver spots this season.
This season, Bourne leads all receivers in average cushion -- defenders are giving him room to make plays, and his recent target share suggests that he should be able to make something happen with that room. Bourne has also seen at least one red zone target in five consecutive games, and by providing Mullens with an option near the end zone, Bourne is also provided with a decent chance to find his way to pay dirt.
