6 years agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Garret Sparks will be making a rare appearance on Thursday night against the Detroit Red Wings. Sparks was stellar in his last appearance on November 24, making 34 saves in a 6-0 shutout win. The 25-year-old has a 4-1-0 record to go along with a 2.57 goals-against average and .924 save percentage. His starts are few and far between, but he has a solid matchup against a shorthanded Red Wings team that sits 21st in the league in goals per game (2.82).
